Experienced HR Generalist Opportunity

TrendHR is partnering with an established healthcare organization in Plano, Texas, to identify an experienced HR Generalist to join its corporate Human Resources team.
This is a hands-on HR opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys working across multiple areas of Human Resources rather than specializing in just one function. The HR Generalist will partner with leadership and field locations across a multi-state organization, supporting employee relations, payroll, benefits, compliance, recruiting, onboarding, Workers'
Compensation, HR reporting, and day-to-day HR operations.
The ideal candidate brings strong multi-state HR experience, including California, and has worked within the healthcare industry. This person should be comfortable advising managers, handling sensitive employee relations matters, interpreting HR policies, conducting compliance audits, and serving as a trusted resource for employees and operational leaders.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with branch and operational leadership on a wide variety of HR matters
  • Provide guidance and support related to employee relations, payroll, benefits, recruiting, staffing, and Workers' Compensation
  • Manage and help resolve complex employee relations issues in partnership with HR leadership
  • Ensure consistent application of company policies and applicable local, state, and federal employment laws
  • Support HR operations across multiple states, including California
  • Conduct ongoing HR compliance audits involving I-9s, employee licenses and certifications, onboarding, wage and hour requirements, and HRIS data accuracy
  • Assist employees with payroll and benefits questions
  • Support talent acquisition and staffing initiatives across field locations
  • Partner with managers to improve employee onboarding and the overall new-hire experience
  • Support managers with performance reviews, merit processes, and employee development touchpoints
  • Participate in acquisition preparation and assist with successfully onboarding new managers and locations
  • Maintain accurate HR documentation, reporting, and employee information
  • Utilize HRIS and other HR technology to maintain accurate employee records and support reporting
  • Provide guidance to managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Travel to company locations as needed to support training, employee relations matters, and workplace investigations
  • Maintain current knowledge of employment regulations, HR best practices, and emerging industry trends
  • Handle confidential employee and company information with discretion and professionalism
  • Provide additional support to the corporate HR team as needed

What We're Looking For

  • 6+ years of multi-state HR Generalist or HR Business Partner experience
  • California HR experience required
  • Healthcare industry experience required
  • Hospice industry experience is strongly preferred
  • Strong employee relations and problem-solving experience
  • Working knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws and HR compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting payroll, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, Workers' Compensation, and other HR functions
  • Experience conducting HR compliance audits involving areas such as I-9s, wage and hour requirements, licenses, certifications, and HRIS accuracy
  • Experience working with a cloud-based HRIS strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to build effective relationships with employees, managers, and field leadership
  • Exceptional judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Willingness to travel to company locations as needed
  • Comfortable working full-time and in-office in Plano, Texas

Compensation

$70,000 – $75,000 annually, based on experience.
This is a full-time, in-office position offering the opportunity to join an established healthcare organization and play an important role in supporting employees and operational leaders across multiple locations.
